Feast

In 2009, I didn't review movies, so much as briefly recomend a few via my Facebook account, This was one of them...

'Feast' is a kick ass monster movie, with it's tongue planted firmly in its sharp-tooth-filled cheek.

It feels a lot like 'Tremors', which is probably due to it's humour content and base-under siege theme, but other than that there's not too much I can say without spoiling bits of it.

There's another trailer kicking around, but it was obviously put out while the film was in early development, because it focuses on a plot thread that isn't even mentioned in the final movie.

So, with such a sparse "review" how to tell if this is for you? - well, if the idea presented in the last sentence of this post doesn't make you chuckle, probably best to move on.

Avoid the sequels BTW - "Sloppy Seconds" is just wall-to-wall awfull, and "the happy finish", although containing some truly outstanding moments, has an ending (if you can call it that) so bad as to drag down the entire trilogy.

Oh, that litmus test sentence:

"a biker chick being throat-raped to death by a baby demon"

Enjoy!
