Fido

In an alternate, post zombie-wars 1950's, The robinsons have finally become the last on their street to get their very own Zombie (fitted, of course, with a Zomcom domestication collar).
While Mr. Robinson remains wary of the Zombie, it isn't long before he wins the hearts of first little Timmy, and later Mrs. Robinson.
The heartwarming tale of one boy and his Zombie, Fido is a lot like Lassie .. if Lassie had been a 6' tall male human zombie... not a collie.

There isn't a lot to say about this one, the plot is a bit on the thin side (but then, "Halloween" has almost no plot, and that's a genre classic),  to say anything beyond the synopsis may constitute spoilers.

The presentation of 1950's america and its TV ideals of so-normal-it's-messed-up family life was great, the sets were brilliant, the story... kind of, pleasantville with zombies, but not.

I'm going to list this as "non-horror", because (despite being chock full of Zombies) there is never any real peril; even when people do die it's kind-of shrugged off... its almost like some adult swim cartoon made flesh.

Look, if the phrase "Pet Zombies in 1950's suburbs"  doesn't want to make you see this movie, I'm not going to change your mind, if however the phrase "Pet Zombies in 1950's suburbs" DOES make you want to see this movie, you will not be disappointed.
