No Man's Land: Rise of the Reeker (Reeker 2)

An outgoing Sheriff and his son (the incoming sheriff) are talking shop at a diner/motel when 3 casino robbers arrive.
It isn't long before both groups are terrorised by the foul smelling ghost of a serial killer that the sheriff captured 30 years ago.

A 5 or 10  minute intro set in 1978 shows us the origin of the reaper, and then its a cut to present day for a sequel / rehash of the first movie.

Virtually all of the same beats are hit, right down to the 'twist' at the end.

The trailer for this movie (which was the sole reason i watched both of them) makes it look like a pretty funny Horror-Comedy, but is just about the only funny scene in the movie.

This one has some better set pieces than its predecessor, and has a more "complete" feel to it, with it having an origin story and a 'proper' ending, but the less-likable group make it difficult to recommend one Reeker movie over the other; and there is no reason at all to watch both!

Still, it's an interesting enough story (slightly less so for being told twice) and gun to my head I'd say watch this one over it's predecessor.
